Breast cancer (BC) is a severe health problem worldwide. The cause of cancer is multifactorial. Dietary issues are one of them, these patterns are either directly or indirectly related to the microbiome and BC is associated with changes in eating habits/diet. Authors in this study, analyzed the microbiome using bacterial extracellular vesicles from the blood, and developed a model to predict BC using a machine-learning approach. Microbiome data patterns were analyzed using a multi-institutional database, and its usefulness was verified through animal studies. They further focused on identifying prebiotics that are helpful for BC prevention by validating this model.
