Priority pathogens are antimicrobial resistant pathogens, that are assessed to be of highest priority for new antimicrobial drug development. These pathogens were ranked and categorized into three priority groups (critical, high, and medium groups). A deep, granular understanding of the dynamics of disease burden (incidence, prevalence, mortality and morbidity) and the prevalence of AMR for these priority pathogens will facilitate rational interventions. Here is a complication of six priority pathogen lists that have been proposed / published to date, It also includes the summary of WHO fungal priority pathogen list, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention list, Indian priority pathogen list and ESKAPE pathogen list.
